Thompson Construction Co., Inc. was founded in 1958 by Troy W. Thompson, Jr., P.E. From its inception, the Thompson family has strived to establish a reputation for efficient, quality work at a reasonable price. To carry on his philosophy; Troy’s two sons are actively involved with the company. Troy Thomson, III, President and T. Benton Thompson, Vice-President both hold civil engineering degrees from Louisiana State University. For the past fifteen years our organization has specialized in food and retail store construction. Emphasis has always been on customer satisfaction in order to earn repeat business and develop a long-term relationship with its clients. We have delivered numerous projects on time and at a very competitive cost for Winn-Dixie, A & P, Albertson’s, Delchamps, Rite Aid, Rouses, K-Mart, and Wal-Mart to name a few. We consider our supervisors and subcontractors to be specialists in this field. This includes numerous remodel projects that remained operational while construction has worked well for us and also for the developers, owners, architects, and engineers we have served. We firmly believe this philosophy has been the key to our success.
Versatility has also been essential in our construction history. While retail projects are considered our specialty, Thompson Construction Co., Inc. also has an impressive list of completed projects in the public sector. Hospitals, university buildings, retirement homes, libraries, automobile dealerships, water treatment plants, and medical office facilities list some of the other facets of our construction capabilities and experience.
